Adopted! Hoss, the The Happy Puppy

Hoss is such a joyful puppy.

Hoss is such a joyful puppy.

Introducing Hoss….if that joyful puppy smile doesn’t get to you, watching him romp on his short little legs will have you grinning in no time. This 11 week old (as of 10-15-15) puppy is all about playing and having fun. At only 9 pounds, he will probably be a small to medium size adult dog. Breed mix? Well, our best guess is border collie/corgi, but that is simply a guess.

Although Hoss is low to the ground, he is fast as a whip and full of the puppy energy you would expect an 11 week old puppy to have. He is one of a litter of 5 puppies that were born to an injured mama dog who had to be trapped to be saved. She delivered Hoss and his adorable siblings the night she was rescued, so the puppies have been socialized with people and other dogs since they were born.

Hoss is learning to walk well on leash, is being crate trained and is learning a bit about house-training. Like all puppies, he will benefit from puppy classes and basic obedience training. With Hoss’s small size, sharp teeth and energetic breed mix, his new home should have older children that know how to handle small dogs.

If Hoss looks like the puppy you’ve been dreaming of owning, email warmhearts@earthlink.net for an application. That is the first step in the adoption process. Hoss is fully vetted and chipped.

Hoss loves to be with his toys.
